Zipit Forest Adventures

Zipit Forest Adventures is a high wire forest adventure park that offers excitement and adventure for people of all ages. Located in Lough Key Forest Park in County Roscommon, visitors can enjoy up to 3 hours of activities that include flying down zip lines, running across rope bridges, swinging like Tarzan, and climbing giant walls. Children from age 7 to adults are welcome to come as a family, on their own, or with a group. Trained instructors are available to provide assistance and encouragement as visitors climb high up into the trees, ride a BMX bike across a suspended bridge, swing into cargo nets, balance on a rope, and try the base jump. This environmentally friendly attraction is fantastic for a fun-filled family day out in nature.

Boda Borg

Cost: Range from 2 hour single pass €19 to all day group pass €35

Boda Borg is an innovative, weather-independent activity center located in Lough Key Forest Park. The unique Swedish concept offers 15 quests and 47 challenges that challenge both adults and children alike. There are no instructions for the tasks, so teamwork, ingenuity, trial and error, and skills you didn’t know you had are required to progress through the 47 rooms. It’s a great experience with imaginative puzzles and enjoyable tasks that require curiosity, laughter, and excitement.

Rockingham Remembered Tour

Cost: €5 for a child, €10 for an adult ticket.

The Rockingham Remembered Tour is a self-guided tour that takes visitors through the fascinating history, flora, and fauna of the park. The tour includes a journey through 19th-century underground tunnels, a climb up the newly restored 5-storey Moylurg viewing tower, and a stroll along a unique Tree Canopy Walk – the first of its kind in Ireland. This 300m-long walkway, made of timber and steel, rises gently 9m above the woodland floor and offers breathtaking views of nature as it winds through the treetops. From here, visitors can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the lake with its shimmering islands.
